Introduction to the Book：

This series of books are edited by the first-class writer of children literature Dai Da, and composed of works by famous children’s book writers Bing Bo, Wang Yimei and Dai Zhen. The three writers’ works are included in each of the three volumes respectively, in which vivid figures are presented through interesting stories. Coming in different styles, they show the limitless charm of words to our little readers. When kids read this set of books, they will fall in love with reading and writing.

Introduction to the writers：

Bing Bo, originally named Zhao Bingbo, first-class writer born in Hangzhou. He began creating children’s literature in 1979, and his major works include Wolf Bat, The Legend of Cat Aben, The Lonely Crab, The Belly Wolf under the Moon, The Eyes of the Blue Whale. He has received the National Children’s Literature Award, the “Five-One Project” Award of Spiritual Civilization under the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the National Book Award, Bingxin Children’s Book Award and New Contribution Award. etc. Many of his works are selected in the teaching material for primary school and kindergarten students, and included in the Recommended Book List by the National Press and Publication Administration and the Ministry of Education.

Dai Zhen, originally from Dinghai, Zhejiang and born in Nanxiang of Shanghai’s Jiading District, is an in-service Chinese teacher and member of the Chinese Writers Association. His well-known works include the fairy tale collections - Little Gulu Causing Havoc in the Sweet Mountain, A Penguin from the South Pole, The Bear is Dancing While I am Playing the Accordion, The Detective Story Writer and the Thief, Little Bamboo Wearing Boots, the full-length fairy tale - Adventure in the City, Travelling with the Rich Lady, and a fictional novel Pointed Hats. Some of his works are included in literary readings such as Collection of Chinese New Literature, Modern Chinese Readings, Appreciative Works of Chinese and Foreign Fairy Tales, and some are presented with the second prize of National Children’s Animation Script Creation Award, Chen Bochui Children’s Literature Award and Good Work of Shanghai Children’s Art.

Wang Yimei, first-class writer, now works in Suzhou Vocational University and as the vice chairman of Zuzhou Writer’s Association. His published works include fairy tales and novels such as The Mole’s Moon River, The Forest of the Puppet, and the Street of Joy. His short fairy tale The Long Beard of Mr. Carrot is included in the first volume of the Nationally Compiled Chinese Textbook for 3rd-graders, and his awards include the 10th “Five-one Project” Award of Spiritual Civilization under the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the 5th and 6th National Children’s Literature Award and the 5th National Book Award.
